Collective Members

The Chroma Collective is a network of donor and financing institutions from around the world that have demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing gender equality in global development. Chroma members are gender practitioners within these institutions who are tasked with ‘gender mainstreaming’, a process of integrating a gender lens into all aspects of an organization’s external programming, as well as its internal policies, systems, and culture.

Executive Sponsors

Each member institution in the Chroma Collective is invited to secure an Executive Sponsor — a senior-level individual with decision-making power and authority over broad technical portfolios, who has the ability to influence and enforce the organization’s gender strategy. Executive Sponsors serve as ‘observers’ of the Collective’s efforts by attending select meetings, offering feedback on outputs, and identifying opportunities for deeper impact. Given their corporate leadership roles, Executive Sponsors are uniquely positioned to support Chroma members’ engagement in the Collective and bolster their ability to disseminate and implement lessons learned.

Catalyst Network

The Catalyst Network is a group of experts external to the Chroma membership who have contributed to the Collective as guest speakers and/or have provided technical and design feedback to Chroma products. The Catalyst Network is made up of individuals who work within or in close relation to global development, or who bring analogous experience and inspiration to gender mainstreaming. The Catalyst Network adds fresh perspectives to challenges faced by members and inspires the Collective to think differently.
